After completing the Virtual Product Models and Simulation course, the student will:
- Describe the physical and mathematical model fundamentals of simulation tools
- Explain the advantages and disadvantages of simulation tools in product development and assess limitations of the different methods
- Present methodological approaches to the use of CAE tools in product development
- Plan the use of CAE tools in the product development process based on process requirements
- Create basic kinematics analyzes using MKS software
- Perform structural analysis using FEA software
- Analyze fluid mechanical problems using CFD software
- Describe the interaction between simulation and experiment, taking into account the respective framework conditions
